OUR STORY:
From the 1997 birth of our
non-profit 501 (c) organization known as The Senior Needs Committee of
Wells and Ogunquit, Seniors joined in the common goal in building a Wells
adn Ogunquit Senior Center. Long before the doors of the center opened
on July 17th, 2004, Seniors bonded in fundraising efforts, planning and
celebrating the successes that lead to the construction our beautiful facility.
And the camaraderie and team efforts of the Seniors continues now that
The Wells & Ogunquit Center at Moody (WOCAM, as in www.wocam.org,
our web site address) is operating.
IF WE BUILD IT WILL THEY
COME?
The Wells & Ogunquit
Center at Moody buzzes with activities, programs and daily events,
as well as some evening events. Seniors come in all shapes, sizes,
ages and abilities. Their interests and concerns are as diverse as
the multitude of experiences and backgrounds thet bring to the Center,
and the programs and entertainment offered by the center to reflect that.
A membership of more than 700 people and visitors galore demonstrate the
success of this Center has become since the opening day in July 2005.
Whether one shcoose to participate
in a function, play a game, volunteer to work, be a member of a committee,
